This 5th annual event, brought to you by the Chamber Alliance of Mason County, will provide important economic development updates. Guest presenter will be Ryan Kilpatrick, lead consultant for Housing Next, who has spearheaded housing efforts in the Grand Rapids area. A breakfast buffet will be served.  

About the presenter:
Ryan Kilpatrick, founder of Flywheel Companies, is a consultant actively collaborating with leaders in Mason County to tackle the prevailing housing crisis and will be our keynote speaker. Kilpatrick will share insightful perspectives on the housing crisis within Mason County, offering valuable recommendations and sharing the roles we all have in addressing this crisis.

Kilpatrick has a background in economic development, affordable housing, neighborhood design, and public finance. As the executive director of Housing Next, he helped to define access to housing as a core economic development issue for West Michigan through data-oriented dialogue and partnership with employers, local municipalities, chambers of commerce, and developers.

He has 15+ years of experience supporting local units of government, community foundations, and developers with technical assistance and best practice implementation through planning, zoning, process improvement, and the use of financial tools to create economically vibrant communities.
