“Ludington’s Angels”: Two men, Antoine E. Cartier and Justus S. Stearns, were the prime movers in the transition of the City of Ludington from a lumbering community to one based on industry and tourism. They were the “economic angels” of Ludington. The legacy of these two men and their families will be compared and contrasted using photos and other materials from the extensive archives of Mason County Historical Society.
