How is Your Company’s Talent Pipeline? Is your company having difficulty finding employees? Is it challenging to retain people you’ve hired?  Would you like to build your local talent pipeline? Consider participating in a Mason County pilot program to help employers connect with local students and graduates for entry-level positions.    Want to learn more?  Attend the Lunch-and-Learn on April 12 to learn how your company can be involved.  Joe Bamberger from Emerge Consulting will provide information on EmergeSkilled, a Michigan Chamber of Commerce endorsed platform to connect local job seekers with companies in Mason County.    

We plan to pilot EmergeSkilled with our Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and, if successful, expand it to our K-12 districts and West Shore Community College. Currently there are more than 400 students enrolled in the 13 programs offered:  Agriscience Educator Academy, Allied Health, Graphic Communications,  Automotive Technology, Health Occupations, Construction Trades, IT: Networking, Criminal Justice, Mechatronics, Culinary Arts, Welding, Digital Media.

Companies can advertise on EmergeSkilled for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions, as well as internships and job shadowing opportunities if desired. Similar to a dating site, matches are created between job seekers and employers, based on skills being sought and work desired. Please register and join us in our effort to more carefully connect job seekers with local employers. The greater the number of companies involved—and the more varied--the better chance the pilot will be a success and we can expand the platform to other students and graduates in Mason County and beyond.
