Boston Tea Party Reenactment

In honor of America’s 250th, Mason County District Library will host an interactive reenactment of the Boston Tea Party on Saturday, August 8, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on at the west end of Ludington Avenue, near Stearns Park and the boat launch. Attendees of all ages will travel back to 1773 Boston, hear Samuel Adams’s call to action, and then go on the ship to throw tea overboard in a symbol of Revolution. The fun continues with games, a children’s craft, refreshments and treats; discover if you descend from a Tea Party participant at our genealogy station, and leave with some commemorative goodies.
