2026 State of the Community Breakfast

2026 State of the Community Breakfast

Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (8:30 AM - 10:30 AM) (EST)

Description

One of the Chamber Alliance’s most important gatherings of the year, the 2026 State of the Community Breakfast brings together business, community, and municipal leaders for a morning of insight, collaboration, and connection. This event is also an opportunity to reflect on the Chamber Alliance’s accomplishments over the past year and highlight its strategic focus for the year ahead, giving attendees a clear view of how local initiatives are shaping Mason County’s growth.

This year’s keynote speaker, Randy Thelen of The Right Place, will provide insights into local, regional, and state economic trends, helping attendees understand Mason County’s recent progress and what lies ahead for the community’s growth and development.

Thelen, in his current position, directs the economic development strategy for the Greater Grand Rapids region, including Mason County. In pursuit of the region’s vision to become one of the nation’s leading growth economies, he works closely with business and community leaders to advance three strategic pillars: People, Place, and Prosperity.

Since assuming leadership in 2021, Randy has guided The Right Place in supporting the creation and retention of over 4,000 jobs and securing over $1 billion in new capital investment. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded into an eight-county regional collaboration and broadened its scope to include community development and placemaking, as well as enhanced talent attraction, retention, and expansion efforts.

During the State of Community Breakfast, attendees will also receive important updates from the Chamber Alliance of Mason County partner organizations, including the Ludington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Downtown Ludington Development Authority, Community Foundation for Mason County, and the Mason County Promise.

Beyond the presentations, this event offers one of the best opportunities of the year to network with fellow leaders shaping the future of our community.
