CHAMBER TO HOST CANDIDATE MEET AND GREET AHEAD OF NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTION

Mason County voters will have a chance to speak directly with election contenders at an October 6 Candidate Meet and Greet at Harbor View Marina in Ludington.

Candidates vying for national, state and local competitions on the November 3 general election ballot will be on hand for the event. The meet and greet will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Harbor View Marina, 400 S. Rath Ave., Ludington.

“The Chamber is proud to bring this important event to the community,” said Brandy Miller, president/CEO of the Chamber Alliance of Mason County. “We invite the public to join us, speak with the candidates in a casual setting, and learn more about their perspectives on the issues facing Mason County. We hope it will provide some valuable connections ahead of the election.”

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Candidates seeking state races featured:

  • State Senate 32nd District: Rebecca Amidon (D), Kim Cole (R)
  • 101st District State Representative: Christopher Crain (D), Jaxon Deur (R)
  • 102nd District State Representative: Angel Coon (D), Curt Vanderwall (R)

Local elections featured.

  • City of Ludington Mayor (non-partisan): Cheri Stibitz, Carol Hoekstra
  • City of Ludington 2nd Ward (non-partisan): Eric Case, Alex Kazmarski
  • City of Ludington 4th Ward (non-partisan): Marco Iafrate, Jack Stibitz  
  • City of Ludington 6th Ward (non-partisan): Brett Vanderwater, Jake Brody
  • Ludington Area School District Board (2 seats) (non-partisan): Brad Reed, Julie Keson, Kathleen Chaney, Natalie Grochowski, Jalie Mowry Lipa, Kelly Parker and Whitney McCabe-Stevens
