The Shagway Arts Barn is an art gallery and so much more! We support local and Michigan artists by displaying and selling their work in a unique setting. We average 30 artists each season who work in photography, pottery, quilting, painting, painted glass, carpentry, re-purposed items and more! (Art Classes are coming this summer...)
The Shagway Summer/Fall Concert Series begins May 26, 2016, and continue on each Thursday, and some weekends - Find the schedule on Facebook! We feature music from blue grass to blues to rock. Wine and beer tastings will be added to the concerts. So, bring your lawn chairs & picnic baskets, sit on the lawn & enjoy the concerts on deck! There is a $5 cover charge to see the bands.
We have 40 acres of meadows and woods and at least four dog-friendly, nature trails to wander this season. There is a fenced in area to walk your pet as well.
The Shagway Arts Barn is part of the expanding Mason County Barn Quilt Trail. Don't miss the spectacular Blazing Star Barn Quilt on the crown of the barn and the history of the barn built by Ottawa Indian, Henry Shagway, at the turn of the 20th Century.
And if you are looking for a place to have your event - Wedding, Fundraisers, Birthday Party, Reunion,or Graduation - The Shagway Arts Barn is your venue! Already, we have had weddings and parties and a few fundraisers. Call us to schedule your event now!
