The LAAC is a community arts organization and facility that cultivates regional arts, including: Music, Visual Arts, Performance/Dance, and Literary Arts. We invite you to be part of our vibrant arts community on the shore of Lake Michigan. Join us at a piano concert, book reading, exhibition of fine art in our gallery, a writing workshop, theater performance, concert, class, workshop and much more.
The LAAC also manages the West Shore Art Fair, held annually the first full weekend in July.
Since its opening in 2008, the Center has hosted exhibitions, performances, and educational programs in music, the visual arts, literature, and more. The Center includes a 250-seat performance hall, banquet hall, gallery and exhibition spaces, art studios, classrooms, and a gift shop offering the works of local and regional artists.
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts was formed to sponsor, promote, and encourage participation in and appreciation of arts and culture for the benefit of everyone who lives in the Ludington area.
The LACA remains the only arts center in Mason County, and its commitment to quality is exemplified throughout its classes, events, performances, concerts, lectures, exhibits and partnerships. In 2011, Ludington and Mason County were designated as a pilot project for Michigan in the establishment of a model for cultural economic development, which identified the LAAC as a key stakeholder. Come discover the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, where artists of every medium enrich our community and inspire the creative spirit in us all
